10 months old!

Well our little one is now ten months old! it has gone bye so fast. she is getting so big. she crawls and has started pulling herself up onto things. i believe she will be walking within two months eek! thats a late start compared to Emilee, but way to early for me LOL.

We are now living in Quesnel, B.C, and loving it! But so hot! although today the apartment is pretty nice i cant complane! there is so much to do here to its great. there is a water park and a few lakes as well as regular parks too. Next weekend is Billy Barker days and that should be fun although calvin will be working lots as his boss will be out of town. He is driving a tow truck and told me that the past week has been much funner then all the times at the mill. SO i am very glad he enjoys his work.

what else. as for me i am staying at home for at least the summer. then we will check our finances out and see if with paying for daycare it is worth me going back to work. day cares here actully take babies! so thats a plus although i do not want Isabelle in one until she is a year… (personal preferance is all)

well tonight, calvin and I are outta here. YAY! only for the night though we will be back tomorrow night. Him and I are going to Quesnel for the night and day to check things out and see if we like it. and best of all no kidds! i know that is horrible to say lol. but we have not had a night away from them since Belle was born, so it is much needed! i mean yeah we have gone out a few times but never for the whole night! so we are kinda excited! and plus it is a lot easier to get things done fastly with out the kiddo’s. So they are spending the night at grama’s Emilee is so excited she keeps asking me if its time to go yet.. but we have to wait for daddy to wake up. he was on nights this week so needs a bit of sleep before we can go.

quick update

Well, we’ll be heading off to Quesnel, BC (about an hour south of Prince George) for a couple job interviews this saturday morning.

I’ll be interviewing for a position as a Tow Truck Driver, and another as an Automotive Parts Person. Still working on getting something setup for Mia for Saturday, but fingers are crossed.

Next step after we have jobs lined up is figuring out where we’ll be living. whether it will be a rental, or if we’re going to buy a small home there. Will keep you all updated as we figure things out. Sadly, we’re not moving to Nova Scotia anytime soon, due to finances and time restraints, but it’s always an option.

New site?

Yes, we have a new website (and I need to do some major work to it too).

Why? it was going to cost me over $200 USD to keep the old one over at blackwolfhosting.com and, well, it wasn’t worth it. This one is free. 100% free. Zilch, Nada.

So yeah… what has been happening lately? Well, other than working my ass off (even though I had last night off), playing with my girls when I’m awake, replacing the brakes on the Explorer (which were WAY past due), and having a cat who just had three kittens…. uhm…. well… that’s pretty much it I suppose.  But hey, at least it’s me posting this time and not leaving it for Mia.

So anyways, Mia’s youngest sister, Katie, graduates from high school this weekend. Should be a fun time. Mia bought all of us new clothes to wear for it, and their dad is coming up to Houston for the weekend from Merritt, BC. We also just bought a new digital camera because the 4.1 Megapixel Cybershot we had has a problem with turning on. Emilee is the only one who seems to be able to turn it on on the first try. So we upgraded to the new Cyber shot camera, sitting at 7.2 mega pixels. Not to mention i Grabbed a 1 GB memory card for it. So, if I put the settings on it to be at the LOWEST possible (standard image quality, VGA size pictures), we can take *drumroll* over 9000 pictures!

Also works really well as a video camera, taking over 43 minutes of video too. so expect to see lots of high definition pictures coming from us. We’re slowly working on it as i work on this website some more. However, I only have about 50 MB of space to use on here, so it limits a fair bit of what I can do.

what a weekend!

So this weekend was fairly busy for us.

friday me and my sister went to Prince George for the day to do some shopping and i had a doctors appointment. so we didnt get home until 900 ish. calvin and the girls had gone to the parade that day. It’s houtons 50th birthday so there were lots of festivities this weekend! then Saturday we woke up and went to the park for more family fun! we had quite the day! me and calvin played BINGO and won a few prizes! It was fun. i forgot how much i love BINGO! ( must move to a town with that as a option LOL), then i had to wokr at 5-9. then come home get dressed and Calvin and i went to a dance. Timebenders, they were so good! we had a lot of fun! and got home at about 2. then sunday i had to work again, luckly it was dead, untill like my last hour lol. i was really tierd.

So last night i decided to go to bed early cause i was so worn out. well i got awoken at like 330 to a cat crying. i was like WTF? well our cat had her kittens! so i got to be a midwife for a hour or so. she did really good. she is really young so i dont think that she understood. but i didnt hear her complain at all. we had made her a bed in the cornor of our room, she proceded to have one kitten there and the other 4 in the other cornor on some cloths and towels. needless to say i will be getting rid of those cloths. Unfortinitly we lost 2 kittens. they were already gone when i got up:( BUt we have three still and they are beautiful. She cleaned the first one really well and it was almost like she wasnt interested in the others, so i got down with her and nudged the other two towards her and just petted her and told her she was doing good. Encouraged breastfeeding LOL. and she cleaned them and started nursing! what a good mommy!  so that was my eventful weekend! cheers!

wow been awhile…..

so it took me about 10 mins to figure out how to post lol. been that long

wow! so what is new? well for starters our truck in fully paid off! what a great feeling that is!

calvin and i are both working him full time and me well supposed to be part time but now i have one hour a week, which sucks FYI.

ahh, the girls are great! getting bigger by the day i have a ton of pics up on face book. just add me as a friend. i update daily.  I am obsessed with taking pictures of them. lol.

we are trying to get Calvin a apprenticeship to become a mechanic, so that is our mission as that is what he loves to do. So we have a bit of a lead! please cross your fingers for him! it means moving. but thats ok! if it will get him doing something he is passionate about im all for it! (hopefully somewhere nice!!)

hmm, what else? MY littlest sister is graduating on the 16! i can not believe it. i have been out of school for 8 years that means! WOW time flies when you having fun, LOL.

well. thats all im gonna write for today. Will keep you posted about Calvin for those of you that are reading this!

A long time coming

Well, yes, both this post and a vehicle that actually doesn’t have anything wrong with it for the Clan McLearn as well.

Sorry we’ve not been updating, but, well, as Matt would say, we’ve been slogging. Of course, I think the only people who read this are Matt and Gwyn anyways (and if i’m wrong, PROVE IT) but that is besides the point.

Mia started a new job as a cook at the pub here in town last Friday. She’s enjoying it, though it’s nowhere near as busy as what she was used to at say, Denny’s in Calgary (where we met), but she says it’s good to be working again and have some time away from home. The girls miss her of course, but they’ll adapt I’m sure.

I’m working out at PVR still, stacking wood in the chopline. Nothing overly new about that. Standard laborer position but still, it pays the bills.

Speaking of bills, Mia and I finally decided a couple of things. I’ll list them here:

- Zoe (The Grand Prix) isn’t getting fixed anytime soon

- Suzy (The Cavalier) is small, too small for two adults and two children (let alone when they get older)

- It’s time for a new vehicle. Enter Sara.

Meet Sara. She’s the latest addition to Clan McLearn. Weighing in at just under 4000 kg (curb weight) she’s a 1992 Ford Explorer XLT. Leather Interior, Sunroof, Power Windows, locks, mirrors, six way adjustable seats, A/C and on demand four-wheel drive, she’s a beauty to drive. Mia’s super happy about it and says she’s never going back to a car again. As for Zoe and Suzy? well, Zoe will probably be donated to a charity, and Suzy is up for sale.

Other than that, we may be looking at moving around the end of June. Where? I can’t say as it’s a surprise for everyone. I’ll leave you all in suspense now.

In other news, Isabelle is 6 months old now and can chat like there is no tomorrow! she is saying dada. and what sounds like hi dada. so cute! she rolled over also. she is growing up so fast!

Emilee is doing great. talking lots as well. this morning she said to me, Daddy work? i said yes. ‘oh, daddy work.. make money.’ it was very cute!

Another Year, another look

Well…. what to say? it’s my 26th birthday, and I’m yet another year older.

I’m back working out at PVR (a re manufacturing lumber mill)  here in town, and i’ve been officially hired on full time. I was given today off because it’s my birthday so that’s all great.

As for the blog, well, yeah. I’ve not been keeping up on what I said I would like to try and do, but even if I had been, it’d be put off to the side right now due to the fact that I’m on rotating shiftwork, which means I worked the last two weeks from 4pm-12am, monday to friday, but this week and next is 8am-4pm, then after that I’m on two weeks of 12am-8am.

So yeah. I have kinda done a bit of work, fixed a couple things that were ticking me off, like broken plugins etc, and I gave the site a whole new theme. Mia and Emilee went out to the Community Kitchen this morning to make food with a group of other moms and kids in town. Isabelle and I are here working on the blog.

After this I think I’m going to go out and work on my birthday present a bit more. Mia bought me a Craftsman Toolchest. I love her so much. The only thing is that now with all my tools in a bigger tool chest, it seems like I have NO tools to speak of. Here are some pictures of that.
This is what the toolbox looks like, all closed up and stuff, I bought a Master Lock to keep the top locked, since I don’t have a garage yet to keep it in.

Maybe sometime in the near future though since Mia wants to buy a house now that I am working fulltime. Anyways, the next picture shows just how lacking in tools I am.

waiting sucks

So i am sitting here waiting as patient as can be for them to put the winning number for the millionaire life in the website. Its hard! I feel like on christmas day waiting for that clock to hit 7 am so i could wake up mom and dad,

and for those of you that dont know what the millionaire life draw is, shame on you! its the feburary lottery thing and i have been looking forward to this day since the begging on feb. lol You can win 1 million dollar a year for 25 years! plus other stuff as well. i would be happy just to win back the cost of the ticket lol not that i would complain about 1 million dollars nor would you im sure lol. well gotta check dinner tata for now:)
